S136USR mold steel uses

1. Produce molds that are resistant to corrosion and rust and require the use of corrosive PVC, acetate and other injection molding materials or must be worked and stored in humid environments.

2. Wear resistance When using injection molding materials with high wear (including thermosetting injection molding molds) or requiring the mold to have a long working time, such as electronic parts, disposable table knives, utensils, etc.

3. Its highly smooth surface is suitable for the production of optical products, such as cameras, sunglasses, chemical instruments and plastic products.

The difference between S136USR steel and S136H

S136H mold steel is pre-hardened, but its hardness is not very high. It is around HRC30 degrees and does not need to be heat treated.

S136USR mold steel is a quenching material, which is very soft and needs to be quenched before use. After quenching, the hardness can reach about HRC48-52 degrees.

Comparison between S136USR mold steel and NAK80

1) Different hardnesses. NAK80 is a pre-hardened mold steel with a factory hardness of HRC38-41. After S136USR is quenched and hardened, the hardness can reach HRC48-52.

2) Mirror polishing performance is different, s136 has better polishing performance than nak80.

3) The application scenarios are different. NAK80 is mainly used for mirror-polished plastic products that do not require anti-rust plastic molds. S136USR can be used for plastic products with high mirror polish, such as optical mirror plastic products, and plastic molds that require anti-corrosion and anti-rust functions.

4) Prices are different. The unit price of imported s136 is much higher than that of imported nak80. The difference between domestic products is not very big.
